Seals

I found these guys on the banks of the Snake River recently. Or maybe it was on the beach in La Jolla.  Hmmm, I forget…  :)

Sig & Vivi back at home

Here’s Sig, all dressed up, chillin’ on the couch.

Vivi with her pink (edit: Janie just told me that it is purple – my bad) hat. And a horse on her shirt. She loves horses.

Peli’s in flight

The wind was working against me while I was shooting the pelicans coming in for landing. You want the wind and the sun at your back so the pelicans are front-lit as they come in to land (they land into the wind).  They were mostly side-lit but a couple of times I got lucky when the pelicans landed straight at me, defying the wind.

This one is a juvenile, it hasn’t yet acquired the colorful plumage.

Clouds over the desert

I’m back in Wyo now but I’ll be posting more ‘vacation’ pics until I’m sick of them. Here are a few more desert landscape photos. The weather was really nice but we got kinda lucky in that a couple of small storms blew threw, giving some interesting clouds and light.
