I gotta shoot the goslings while I can. They are getting big fast.

Ducklings.
These little fellas are difficult to photograph. They are fast, they are tiny and they move erratically. Also, I’m shooting with my long lens plus teleconverter so there is a very thin plane of focus and I’m swinging the lens around trying to keep the little critters in the viewfinder. Here are a couple shots. I’ll go back and try for better.
399 hasn’t been seen in awhile… There was a big boar roaming around in her area last week and people are guessing that she was attacked by him. She has disappeared and her two cubs have been seen wandering around the last few days, all alone. Yesterday I saw this cub strolling along, grazing and basically seeming fine. The other cub, Ash, was seen a couple of days ago. Injured, but seemed pretty good. So… We wait. Hopefully 399 is OK and will find her cubs soon. If that doesn’t happen, hopefully 610 will adopt these two as well. Hmmmmm.
I caught him (or her) eating with his mouth open.
Looking Spring-time skinny, but otherwise good.
