End of January
A few random shots from this month that I didn’t post already…
Let the sleeping dogs lie
The leader of the pack. The whole herd was waiting to see if they were safe. I think they thought I was a hunter and didn’t want to come too close. Once the big guy made it, they all started moving past me.
Goats in the snow
Vivi being baptized
Vivi learned to make a new face last week. It’s much funnier that this shot captures, I’ll try to get a better one.
Dog sledding
The dog sled race started right in front of the tavern so we went down there to have a look. Darkness isn’t good for action photography but I snapped a couple shots anyways.
Vivi and Janie were overdressed I think; it wasn’t that cold (probably 20 or so).
No Pink
We’ve had some amazing pink sunsets for the last two nights but I wasn’t able to get out and photograph them. So tonight I was hoping for the pink again. I went out and got all set up (just down the street) and stood there in the snow waiting for the color to happen. It didn’t. Still, it wasn’t a bad place to watch the sun set.
More Practice
A nice, sharp, well-exposed full frame shot. Not particularly interesting, but it’s great for practice.
A little less sharp but acceptable, well exposed full frame shot. Those little duckers are fast.
Pretty good too, with a more interesting background:
Anyone sick of swans yet? I will be soon. I’m ready for lions and tigers and bears (and hopefully owls)!
