Don’t forget to look behind you

The clouds looked good for a nice sunset over Sleeping Indian last night. So I ran out towards Teton Village where I like the view to hopefully get some decent shots.  It wasn’t the spectacular shot that I’ve been wanting, but it turned out decent.

After watching the clouds and light over Sleeping Indian for a while, I decided that I needed more DEET because the mosquitoes were slaughtering me. So I turned around to walk back to my car when I saw some cool clouds over Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.  Click click.  Several photography books I have read advise nature photographers to always remember to look behind you for opportunities. OK, I’ll try to remember.
